Hans Peter Adamski, born in Oesede Monastery in 1947, is a co-founder of the legendary artist group Mülheimer Freiheit, which gained worldwide attention thanks to Paul Maenz.

Adamski, who initially made a name for himself as a conceptual artist, began his international career in the early 1980s.

From 1998 to 2014 he was professor and vice dean of the Academy of Arts in Dresden and lives and works in Berlin.
